Daniel was born August 8th 1973 in Nashville, Tennessee to Rick and Libbye Nelson.  Dan was a resident of North Platte, Nebraska and formerly of Nashville. He attended Hillsboro High School where he was involved in theatre and art. He attended Cabrillo Community College in Santa Cruz, California where he majored in literature, art and theatre. Dan's passions were art, landscaping and landscape design. Dan had his own landscaping company in North Platte where he brought his passion to life.

Daniel passed away Sunday June 25th 2006 at the age of 32 near Kearney, Nebraska in an automobile accident.  Survived by his parents, Rick Nelson of North Platte and Libbye Nelson of Nashville; a sister, Corye Nelson of Nashville; and a brother, Aaron (Jennifer) Nelson and family of Knoxville.

Dan had a dedicated relationship with Dianna Deidel of North Platte whom he deeply loved.

His family, friends and loved ones miss Daniel very much!
